Red Dog

8 Years Old | Gelding | AQHA Registered

Red Dog is an 8 year old sorrel gelding about 14.2  hh  with DUal Pep, Smarty Freckled Rio and Peppy San Badger on his papers.  Red Dog was started in the summer of 2023  then was left for the winter.  He was rode for a little bit and taken to a feed lot for a couple weeks. He came back and wasn’t rode for a couple months. Then we got riding him and got him going pretty good. He’s been rode western, bare back and is starting to do cross overs, some roll backs, side passes and has a decent stop too. He has done trail rides, we have roped the dummy off of him and have drug a tube behind him all without incident. We wouldn’t say that he is suited for beginner rider but has been getting along really well with a 14 year-old experience rider. (He does sometimes get a little hot but is still a really kind horse.) He is good with his feet and has been trimmed a couple times.  We have rode him with cows, other horses and by himself.

Katie

16 Years Old | mare | registered

Katie is a registered 16 year old mare, standing at 15.2 hh.

Bred right this mare carries the kind of pedigree that speaks for itself - stacked with the influence like Freckles Playboy, Freckles O'Lena and Badger Boy Roan. Katie has cow sense, she's fun to ride and kid safe.

Katie is an experienced ranch horse. We got Katie in 2019, and from there she has been rode in a feed lot for a whole winter, and rode to catch cows from the pasture in the summer. She has also been used to check cows while calving, and we have roped cows and calves off of her. Katie has also been used for trail rides, riding lessons and gymkana events. She is a very kid safe horse, she is super friendly, and good to work with. She has been rode around small animals. (Though she doesn’t like goats or moose). Katie has been used to team rope off of a couple times (mostly on the heel side). She was mainly rode by an experienced teenage girl, although anyone can ride her.

Katie is good with her feet, and has had shoes on before. Katie can also do roll backs, she side passes, and cutting calves is a joy in a corral for an experienced rider.

Deputy

7 Years Old | Gelding | Grade

Deputy is a 7 year old QH gedling, black with stripe, approx. 15'3hh with a big, fast, ranchy walk.  He will not be an arena star.

He's been exposed to a few different situations trying to find his spot and ranching seems to be the best fit.

He's dragged calves, treated cattle, checked fence and been on some trails.  We've used him to drag firewood out of the bush also.

Not for a beginner but an intermediate rider that likes a bit of a challenge would have a lot of fun on this guy.,
